Amics de la Massana association, Escola Massana-UAB and with the collaboration of the Museu del Disenny Barcelona make a call for the presentation of proposals for communications for the reflection sessions "Towards a new paradigm in the history of art, design and crafts" that is non-hierarchical, interdisciplinary and transversal.

In schools of art, design and artistic trades, in the faculties of fine arts and in those of art history, the theoretical and methodological corpus on the journey that the human being has made in the manufacture and creation of images, objects and spaces , has been occupied by the discipline that we have generically called "art history". The sessions of the Escola Massana will try to review this state of affairs by showing practices and research that have been concerned with this issue and providing a new mental and academic framework to develop the new paradigm of the history of crafts, design and art.

The conference will be held on October 21 and 22, 2021 at the Escola Massana-UAB and the Museu del Disenny Barcelona. The vehicular languages ​​will be Spanish, Catalan and English.

The communication proposals to be accepted must include the name of the researcher, a brief description of their professional and / or academic profile (max. 50 words), email, title and a summary of 500 words maximum. Once accepted, the maximum length of the communication (including bibliography) for its publication will be 4500 words. The oral presentation may not be longer than 20 minutes. The deadline for submission of communication proposals is May 17, 2021. Acceptance responses will be sent before June 10, 2021.
