The UAB is the university that has a high performance in the largest number of indicators (28 of the 37 analyzed) in this year's edition of the CYD ranking, the Spanish ranking with the highest number of universities. Thus, it maintains the results obtained in the previous edition and is once again the best university in the State. This ranking is prepared by the Knowledge and Development Foundation (CYD) based on information provided by the institutions themselves and by the ministries of science and universities, as well as bibliometric and patent data.
The CYD ranking evaluates the performance of universities based on the results obtained in the 37 indicators it uses. It does not generate a classification of universities but rather assesses whether each institution has a high, medium or low performance in each indicator analyzed. The indicators are grouped into five areas: teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and involvement with the environment. The UAB has obtained excellent results in the indicators of all the five areas, standing out above all in knowledge transfer, international orientation and involvement with the environment. Furthermore, it is the university with the fewest indicators of low performance.
